This new generation moves the Kubb® Fanless forward where it actually matters.

 

Start with the platforms. The latest Intel® Core™ Ultra and AMD Ryzen™ AI processors open up four configurations, each with a dedicated NPU for artificial intelligence. AI workloads run directly on the machine: no cloud, no subscription, and nothing leaves your desk.


Then thefinishes. Alongside Graphite, two new colours join the range: "12", the blue that Kubb® is known for, and Bronze, which shifts tone as the day goes on.


One thing, however, has not changed.


Twelve centimetres a side. An aluminium chassis. And still not a single fan.

Passive cooling usually comes at a price: either the chassis grows, or a heatsink is bolted on. The Kubb® Fanless tookanother route.


Heat dissipation is built into the architecture itself. Aluminium spreads the energy across the whole chassis, so every surface of the Kubb® takes part in cooling — no fan, no moving parts, and not a millimetre of extra footprint.

 

The fins are visible. The engineering is inaudible.

The principle is simple, which is exactly what makes it reliable: cool air enters at the base, picks up heat from the fins, rises, and leaves at the top. Natural convection. No motor, no bearing, no filter.

 

Losing the fan means more than losing the noise. It also removes the only moving part in the machine — the first component to wear out, and the main route for dust to get in. In use, the chassis surface settles between 32 and 40 °C: heat doesn't build up, it moves through.

Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 225H

 

The balance between performance and efficiency. With 14 cores (4 Performance, 8 Efficient and 2 Low Power Efficient), clock speeds up to 4.9 GHz, an Intel® Arc™ 130T GPU and a 13 TOPS Intel® AI Boost NPU, it handles advanced office work, content creation and everyday local AI.

 

Intel® Core™ Ultra X7 358H

 

The most capable platform in the range. Built on the Panther Lake architecture with a compute tile on Intel® 18A, it carries 16 cores, an Intel® Arc™ B390 GPU with 12 Xe3 cores and ray tracing, and a 5th-generation NPU reaching 50 TOPS. With platform AI performance stated at up to 180 TOPS, it's aimed at the most demanding professional applications.

 

AMD Ryzen™ AI 5 340

 

Driven by the Zen 5 architecture, this 6-core / 12-thread processor pairs a Radeon™ 840M GPU with a 50 TOPS XDNA™ 2 NPU. It takes modern working environments and their new on-device AI features comfortably in its stride.

 

AMD Ryzen™ AI 7 350

 

With 8 cores / 16 threads, a Radeon™ 860M GPU and the same 50 TOPS XDNA™ 2 NPU, this version offers more headroom for multitasking, content creation and the heaviest AI workloads.

 

AI on the device. Naturally.

 

This is the significant change in this generation.

Until now, running AI models on a passive machine meant a trade-off. The work fell to the processor (CPU) or the graphics processor (GPU) — capable, but power-hungry. The load rose, the temperature followed, and clock speeds came back down.


The NPU (Neural Processing Unit) changes that equation. Purpose-built for this one job, it performs the same calculations on a few watts, where a CPU or GPU would draw several dozen. Passive cooling stops being a constraint on AI: it becomes its natural environment.

Day to day — meeting transcription, document summarisation, real-time translation, noise suppression and auto-framing in video calls, semantic search across a local document library, writing assistance.

The Intel® Core™ Ultra X7 358H and AMD Ryzen™ AI configurations reach 50 TOPS, above the 40 TOPS threshold set by Microsoft® for Copilot+ features.


And the AI stays on the machine. No transfer to a cloud service, no per-request subscription, no dependence on a connection. For a healthcare practice, a law firm or a public authority, that comes down to four things: confidentiality, lower latency, availability offline, and easier compliance with internal security policy.
